Barbuda, West Indies
Barbuda lies approximately 30 miles north of Antigua. It is
very flat except for thre area known as "The Highlands"
which rise to about 128 feet. The island is primarily limestone
and it has very little rainfall and has no streams or lakes. The
beach, however, at Cocoa Point is regarded by many travellers
as the most beautful beach in the Caribbean. Practically the entire
coastline is edged with coral reefs making it very dangerous for
shipping however excellent for enthusiastic SCUBA divers.
